The International Summer School (ISS) program at the University of Seoul (UOS) was first established in 2000, and it has provided international students with a great opportunity to learn about Korean culture and tradition. Reorganized in 2005, the International Summer School (ISS) has been receiving an increased amount of funds from the Seoul Metropolitan Government and offers various incentives to the participants coming from not only the partner universities but also many prestigious universities around the world. In 2017, the name of the program was officially changed to Seoul International Summer School (SISS).
About the Program
SISS Peer Advocate Program!
SISS offers a buddy program “Peer Advocate”, PA in short, for international students. Peer Advocates are UOS Korean students who will help international students experience Korea online. For 2021 SISS, PAs will organize a communication session related to Korean culture and language.
Mingling with Friends from All over the World!
In 2021, you can build a global network by making many friends from Australia, Austria, Canada, Chile, China, Columbia, Finland, France, Germany, Indonesia, Hungary, Lithuania, Mexico, Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UK, USA, and more.
Various Field Trips and Cultural Activities
To learn about Korea’s past, present and future. Not only PAs will organize classes about Korea, but IICE Office will also offer Korea and East Asia related classes. IICE Office is also planning to professors who taught Korean Language for long time, so through this chance, learn about Korea at your hometown through online.
